Melanie Hale appears to have the perfect life—she’s a devoted mother, a caring wife, and a reliable neighbor in her upscale Louisiana community. But beneath the surface, she’s exhausted, unfulfilled, and yearning for something more. A chance encounter at her writers’ group leads her into a dangerous affair with a local author, Luke. What starts as an escape quickly turns into a nightmare when she discovers Luke’s dead body in his home. Now, Mel must protect her secrets at all costs—both from her husband and from whoever else might be hiding in the shadows.
Seraphina Nova Glass delivers another gripping psychological thriller with Such a Good Wife. This is the second book of hers I’ve read—the first was On a Quiet Street, which was amazing—and while this one started with an eerie sense of déjà vu (I swear I’d read the first chapter before!), I was quickly pulled into the twists and turns of the story.
What I loved most was how the author sprinkled little clues throughout, leading me to suspect different characters, only to completely throw me off by the end. I won’t spoil anything, but trust me—the ending was nothing like what I expected! If you love thrillers that keep you guessing, I highly recommend this one.
Have you read Such a Good Wife?
