I really enjoyed this book. The story was touching, funny, and heartfelt. I loved the mix of romance and family dynamics, and the characters felt genuine and relatable. Vanessa’s journey balancing unexpected parenthood with her adventurous spirit made for a story that was both entertaining and emotional. This is the third book in the Friend Zone series.
The Premise:
Vanessa Price quit her job to pursue her dream of traveling the globe, gaining millions of YouTube followers who share her joy of living life to the fullest. For Vanessa, this philosophy is personal—her mother and sister never reached 30, and she does not want to take a single day for granted. But when her half-sister unexpectedly leaves her in charge of an infant daughter, Vanessa’s life turns chaotic. The last person she expects to help is her neighbor, Adrian Copeland, a hot lawyer with a geriatric Chihuahua. As Vanessa navigates diapers, baby vomit, and the challenges of her new responsibilities, she begins to feel emotions she vowed not to feel. Falling for Adrian might be the sweetest adventure yet, but it could also be the riskiest.
My Thoughts:
This was a cute, quick read. I had just finished The Happy Ever After Playlist, so I was excited to keep going in the series. I liked the story and the characters, but I really dislike how in these romance novels they always break up and then get back together in the second to last chapter. It feels like too quick of a wrap up.
This was an enjoyable read. If you like heartfelt romance with charming characters and a touch of chaos, this book is worth picking up.
