Book Review: Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez

I absolutely loved this book. Part of Your World had everything I wanted - small-town charm, great banter, and characters who felt real and easy to root for. The more I read, the more I appreciated how interconnected all the characters in this series are. It makes the world Abby Jimenez has built feel even richer and more fun to revisit.

The Premise:
Alexis Montgomery has her life planned out. She comes from a wealthy, prestigious family of world-famous surgeons, and everyone expects her to continue that legacy. But Alexis is happy being an ER doctor, quietly making a difference without all the spotlight.

Then she meets Daniel Grant. He’s ten years younger, a laid-back carpenter, and about as far from Alexis’s world as you can get. After a random bet, a gourmet grilled-cheese sandwich, and an evening cuddling a baby goat, Alexis starts to wonder if maybe she doesn’t have it all figured out after all.

The more time she spends with Daniel and his close-knit community, the harder it becomes to imagine leaving it all behind. But if she lets this relationship grow beyond a fling, it could mean walking away from her family’s expectations and the career path she’s always been told she should want.

My Thoughts:
There was so much to love here. Alexis and Daniel’s chemistry felt natural from the start, but what really got me was how supportive, kind, and thoughtful Daniel is. He’s one of those characters who feels like he’d be just as great off the page as he is on it.

I also loved the small-town setting. The way Alexis slowly starts to fall for not just Daniel, but the whole town, made the stakes feel real. You really feel that pull between two worlds - her high-pressure, polished city life versus the simplicity and joy she finds in Daniel’s community.

What made this even more fun was seeing how connected all the characters are across Abby Jimenez’s books. Daniel is Amber’s son, and Emma’s half-brother. Brianna’s ex, Neil, is the same Neil Amber dates, and his lake house is the one Emma and Maddy rent (from Just for the Summer). And Daniel’s cousin is Josh from The Friend Zone. I love seeing those threads tie together, it makes the series feel like one big world I want to keep visiting.

Final Thoughts:
Part of Your World is sweet, funny, and packed with heart. The characters, the setting, the romance - it all worked for me. If you’ve read any of Abby Jimenez’s other books, you’ll appreciate how this one connects. And if you haven’t, this is a great place to start.
